Hohl Industrial Services were competent, well equipped and determined to complete the project with quality work. The Project Manager, John Bordner, was always cordial and professional. The project’s superintendent, Ron Kozlowski, was very knowledgeable and brought with him years of marine experience, both as a diver and as a lead person in responsible charge. The crews comprised of divers with years of experience and expertise in all aspects of the work including demolition, welding and injection grouting. Blast cleaning and existing H-Pile surfaces easily complied with the required WJ-3 standard through the use of high pressure blast cleaning systems and materials were installed per specifications.
It is in this inspector’s opinion that the FRP jackets installed on these two bridges should offer good, sound primary projection against future corrosion within and below the tidal zone as expected with the completion of this contract.
